Where to find Vegetarian food in Singapore?

Vegetarian Survival Guide

When I relocated to Singapore a few years back, I had a hard time locating vegetarian food. But later I realized, it a matter of knowing where to look. Now I know a lot of places serving amazing and budget vegetarian food in hidden pockets of Singapore. I am starting this post to share places which serve vegetarian food. I will add places as and when I visit in this post.

Lau Pa Sat : North & South Indian Vegetarian

Address : 18 Raffles Quay, 048582

Lau Pa Sat is a national monument and was created in the 19th century. This place has over 50 shops serving local food of almost all South Asian countries. I have tried all 5 Indian shops here. All of them serve great food. A one-time meal costs from 5S$ to 20S$. No doubt it is difficult to find an empty table at peak Lunch/Dinner hours. This is my perfect go-to place. Some shops in Lau Pa Sat opens 24 hours.

Fill-a-Pita : Middle Eastern Vegetarian

Address : 3 Pickering Street, #01-29 Nankin Row, China Square Central, China Square Central, 048660

This one came as a really great surprise. I just landed at this place randomly without any referrals. I liked this place and I have visited it multiple times now. One lunch generally costs around 10$ – 20$. A two person platter will set you back by 24S$.

Makansutra : Thai Vegetarian

Address : #01-15, 8 Raffles Ave, 039802

This place is next to Esplanade theaters. There are no other vegetarian places nearby so this place has saved me multiple times. Unfortunately, there are no Indian food stalls. The only option for vegetarians is Thai cuisine. Pad Thai (Fried Noodles) and Fried rice can be made on special orders. This place is full of seafood stalls and Malaysia food options.

I have been eating on Food on Fire from more than one year now. Food taste and quality have been consistently great. One set meal starts from 7S$ to 12$. Ala Carte option is also available.

Rasapura – Indian Vegetarian and Nonvegetarian

Address: 2 Bayfront Avenue, B2-50 Canal level ,The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, The Shoppes, 018972

I have eaten here multiple times as it is the most convenient place to eat if one is in bay area. This place is the B2(lowest level) of MBS Mall. Rasapura serves an authentic Indian food. Butter naan and Dal Makhni tastes wonderful. One meal costs 12S$ – 20$
